On the palate, it is medium- to full-bodied, chiseled and racy, with an incisive spine of acidity and a long, mouthwatering finish. It is, by all means, more electric than Les Champs Gain, and this is especially evident in 2024. Thierry Pillot is the largest landowner in this vineyard, possessing fully 2.2 hectares.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eVinous 92-94:\u003c\/strong\u003e The 2024 Chassagne-Montrachet Clos Saint-Jean ler Cru has a discrete nose at first, one that gains intensity, crushed stone and cool glade scents. Superb delineation. The palate is well balanced with a tangy opening, just a hint of tangerine and apricot, real weight and substance towards the finish. Perhaps it just needs a little more to come through on the aftertaste? The palate is supremely well balanced with wonderful concentration, countervailing acidity keeping this Chassagne very focused and delineated.
