The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, slightly waxy in texture with better tension and delineation on the finish than the Limozin. The texture was lively and bright, with a pitch-perfect balance between freshness and density. The grapes are from a half-hectare to the east above the village; they are slowly pressed and fermented in cask, where they will age for 16 – 18 months. The grapes come from a half-hectare in Charmes-Dessus, the best part of this large vineyard.
