Meo Camuzet Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru Les Cras

This vineyard lies at mid-slope, immediately north of Chambolle and faces due south. The site is magnificent, located at the beginning of the combe, which exercises a cooling influence on what is essentially a "solar" terroir. The soil, of average depth, contains quite a lot of clay.

Winemaker notes

There is much sweetness, roundness and bonhomie in this smooth, fleshy wine. The sweet-smelling aromas bring an extra touch of charm.

2022

Burghound 88-91: There is just enough reduction present to push the underlying fruit to the background. The energetic, delicious and delicious middleweight flavors flash even more evident minerality on the linear but noticeably warm finale that is linear and a bit lean. While this may well come together, it's awkward today and my projected range offers the benefit of the doubt.
