J.A. Ferret Pouilly-Fuisse Tournant de Pouilly
Always a bit austere and shy at first glance, it is undoubtedly the most "chic" of the selections with its chalky touch and its fresh and persistent finish.

Burghound 92-94♥: A restrained, indeed even timid nose grudgingly offers up its aromas of mineral reduction, citrus and white-fleshed fruit, all of which is trimmed in enough wood to notice. The succulent but punchy medium-bodied flavors possess almost a painful level of intensity also with a pungent minerality that adds a sense of lift to the citrusy, youthfully austere and beautifully well-balanced finale. This is excellent and worthy of your interest.
Wine Advocate 94: The 2020 Pouilly-Fuissé Hors-Classe Tournant de Pouilly is performing well, exhibiting aromas of pear, mandarin oil, hazelnuts, freshly baked bread and iodine, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy palate that's satiny and layered, with lively acids and an elegantly muscular profile.
Vinous 92: The 2020 Pouilly-Fuissé Tournant de Pouilly 1er Cru is much more Zen-like, backward on the nose that does not want to come out and play, yet there is clearly coiled-up intensity here and it just needs some bottle age. The palate is well-balanced with a fine spine of acidity thanks to the limestone soil, a little chalkiness coming through on the focused finish. Very fine.
