Diel Pinot Noir Caroline
2019
Wine Advocate 94: The 2019 Pinot Noir Caroline offers a deep, pure, refined, finely toasty but Burgundian and exotic bouquet of iodine, ripe and intensely flavored red and black berries and finely crushed slate. On the palate this, is a full-bodied, fleshy, intense and warm, silky textured and saline, very delicate but firmly structured Pinot wit crystalline acidity and fine tannins that are superbly interwoven. A fascinating wine. 13% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in August 2022.
James Suckling 95: This is very young, but is already so fragrant. Stunning balance of sour-cherry fruit and floral and mineral character on the medium-bodied palate, the fine, dry tannins and lively acidity supporting the very long, filigree finish. Drink or hold.
