This classic wine of the estate and of the appellation is an archetypal expression of the finesse and elegance of the wines of Côte-Rôtie.
Eye : Dark ruby red
Nose : Spices, red berries and delicate oak aromas
Palate : Round soft tannins. Aromas of rasberry, blackberry and vanilla
Overall : Balance between scarcely perceptible acidity and tannins which add ageing potential and softened by long ageing in oak.
WA 90-92: A stalwart in the Guigal lineup, the 2019 Cote Rotie Brune et Blonde features gently herbal and smoky nuances on the nose, plus plenty of mouthwatering red-berry fruit. It's medium to full-bodied, seems just slightly richer and more concentrated than the 2018 and finishes silky and long.
