Burghound 89-92♥: Once again there is enough reduction to mask the nuances of the underlying fruit. Otherwise there is very good freshness and verve to the equally racy and intense flavors that possess a lovely tension that carries over to the linear, refined and chiseled finish that is shaped by relatively fine-grained tannins. This is a very fine Gevrey villages that should also be approachable young.

Burghound 90-92♥: Here too the airy nose is exuberantly floral in character though there is much more earth in evidence on the mostly fresh red berry fruit aromas. Once again there is a beguiling texture to the vibrant medium-bodied flavors that retain fine delineation on the youthfully austere and impressively long finish that displays focused power. This is first-rate Gevrey villages.

Burghound 90-91♥: Cool, pure and lightly earthy aromas include those of red cherry, raspberry and a range of floral elements that include violet, lilac and rose petal. The super-sleek and again, beautifully detailed medium weight flavors possess excellent intensity if only average density while the sneaky long finish is shaped by refined tannins. This could use better depth but the balanced is such that more should develop if given a few years of bottle aging.
