Aromes De Pavie

Starting with the 2005 vintage, Château Pavie officially announces the release of a second-label wine under the name of "Arômes de Pavie” which replaces "Château Tour Simard ” because it would be easier for our consumers to recognize this wine among Perse's range. Principally from young vines that are less than ten years old, the final blend also contains numerous barrels that were remaining following the severe selection that is practiced for the first wine. The same care and attention goes into the production of this wine as to Pavie itself.

2021

James Suckling 93: A juicy wine with hints of nuts, berries, salted chocolate and gunpowder. Medium- to full-bodied. From a particular parcel that gives tannin length. Turns a little tight at the end. 50% merlot and 50% cabernet franc. Better after 2028.

Vinous 92: The 2021 Arômes de Pavie is just as inviting as it was en primeur. Bold and punchy, with fine balance, the Arômes is a terrific representation of the property. Sweet floral and spice notes meld into a core of red fruit, orange peel and mocha. All the elements are so well balanced. Best of all, the 2021 will drink well on release. It's a very serious Arômes.
