Specific plots have been selected for this wine, conducted with an organic farming approach, with the idea to produce a rosé that would render the complexity and finesse of its terroir. Thanks to the cooler location of Aussières, the Grenache matures slowly, developing a wide palette of delicate fruity aromas. It contributes greatly to the elegance of the wine and confers its silky mouthfeel. Syrah adds a zest of freshness to the blend and contributes to the balance between generosity and tension.

2022: This year again, we find this beautiful grapefruit colour with hints of raspberry and redcurrant which is typical of this rosé. The nose opens with aromas of red fruits, strawberry, cherry and some white fruits. The attack is vivid, and the wine has a pleasing freshness on the palate, with attractive aromas of strawberry candy and a finish on spring notes of rose and white flowers.

James Suckling 92: Wild berries, currants, dried herbs and tangerines on the nose. Medium body with bright acidity. It’s ample with a vivid core of dried tangerines and herbs on the plate. Well-composed with a flavorful, expansive finish. Drink now.

Decanter 89: This is the third vintage of rosé from Aussières: a blend of 76% Grenache and 24% Syrah, macerated for between three and six hours before being directly pressed. It’s petal-pink in colour, with sweet, creamy, delicate, softly peachy aromas. The impression that you’re about to taste a Provence-style rosé ends when you sip, though: the coolness that slides off Fontfroide at night is evident in the wine’s pungent acid structure and bright energy, almost as if it was a Languedoc echo of Sancerre. Red-wine fruits (as much redcurrant as strawberry) combine with white-wine energy and shape.

Vinous 90: The 2024 Rosé A d'Aussières is laden with nuances of fresh strawberry, yogurt, tarragon and crushed rocks. Fresh and energetic yet notably calibrated and refined, the 2024 finishes with good length and a pleasant waxy texture.
