
The Vine is planted on a walled terrace at the very north of the Gevrey Chambertin appellation. These mid-hillside positions mean that the vineyards receive an extra 1/2 hour of sun each evening. Red clay soils with some limestone. Vines re-planted in 1981.
Champeaux in comparison to "Les Cazetiers" would definitely come across slightly more elegant in style. With a softer structure, and a tad more floral than earthy notes. A wine that would entice new Burgundy lovers right off the bat.
