Winemaker Notes

Eye : Dark and deep colour.
Nose : Red fruits, cherry and strawberry with delicate oak aromas.
Palate : A structured tannic wine. Aromas of blackcurrant buds and vanilla.

Overall : Remarkable freshness with notable and refined tannins to due long oak ageing.

Wine Advocate 89-91: Fun and fruit-driven, with just enough peppery complexity to keep it interesting for multiple sips, the 2020 Crozes Hermitage features chunky blueberry fruit, ripe tannins and a mouthwatering finish.

James Suckling 91: An extremely typical example of this appellation with stacks of fresh blackberry fruit, plus delicate notes of smoke and pepper. Zesty interplay of bright fruit and crisp tannins on the medium-bodied palate. From the northern part of the appellation. Most is matured in large oak foudre, and a small proportion in oak barriques.
