Burghound 89-92♥: An airy, cool and well-layered nose speaks mainly of the essence of just sliced pear and apple along with an array of citrus elements. There is a lovely sense of underlying tension suffusing the middle weight flavors that exude a subtle bead of minerality on the youthfully austere, long, balanced and moderately compact finale. This is an excellent Meursault villages that is well-worth considering.
Wine Advocate 90-92: A new addition to the range, the 2023 Meursault Les Clous delivers an ethereal bouquet of white flowers, citrus zest and buttery pastry, followed by a medium to full-bodied, satiny and seamless palate with good depth at the core, concluding with a mineral finish.
Vinous 90-92: The 2023 Meursault Les Clous, which comes from the lieu-dit of Clous Dessous-which will not be distinguished on the label-has wonderful mineralité and tension on the nose. It's remarkable that this maiden release is so "Roulot" in style. The palate is very well balanced with a keen line of acidity. It's more elegant than the Narvaux tasted alongside, enhanced by a precise, lemon rind-tinged, smoky finish.
