2012

Wine Advocate 88: Their second wine, the 2012 Les Pagodes de Cos (60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot), exhibits soft tannins, a deep ruby/purple color, sweet plum, black cherry fruit, a round, generous mouthfeel and excellent purity and depth.

James Suckling 89: A juicy and rich second wine from Cos with spices, minerals, nutmeg and fruit. Full body, chewy tannins and a fresh and pretty finish. Builds on the finish.

Vinous 89: The 2012 Les Pagodes de Cos is quite open and expressive today. Silky, polished tannins wrap around a core of red-fleshed fruits, sweet tobacco, cinnamon, crushed flowers and dried cherries.

Wine Enthusiast 92: Named after the Chinese facade of this most extraordinary of wineries, this wine is ripe and smooth in a style that brings out richness and a round character. It's already totally integrated, solid while also very generous.

2020

Wine Advocate 89: The 2020 Les Pagodes de Cos is fleshy and dramatic, bursting with aromas of crème de cassis, lilac, spices and creamy new oak. Medium to full-bodied, rich and textural, it's an unctuous, ripe, modern-styled red that will drink well young.

James Suckling 93-94: This is a racy Pagodes with beautiful fruit and tannins that leave a nice, persistent finish. Medium to full body. Savory finish. Tight and clean.

Vinous 93: The 2020 Les Pagodes de Cos is dark, sumptuous and super-expressive. There is an element of mystery to the 2020, it’s a wine that is not ready to show all of its charms just yet. Ripe dark cherry, plum, new leather, licorice, tobacco, incense and dried herbs all build nicely in a Pagodes that balances fruit richness and energy.

Decanter 92: Maintains both a spiced kick and creamy texture through the palate, giving form and character. Silky texture, with cinnamon and saffron-laden blackberry fruits. This is precise and confident with sweet and tender tannins, the power is almost hidden at this point but it is there. 38% of overall production. 4% Petit Verdot completes the blend.

Wine Enthusiast 92: This second wine is complex and structured. At same time, it has the proper openness and precocity of a second wine. Likely to age smoothly, the wine will be ready from 2026.

2023

Wine Advocate 91-93: The 2023 Les Pagodes de Cos has turned out beautifully, offering up aromas of cassis, orange zest, vine smoke and incense, followed by a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and polished palate with a deep core of fruit, supple tannins and a lively, mouthwatering finish. It's a blend of 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot and the balance Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.

James Suckling 95-96: There’s depth and focus to this white, with sliced-lemon and green-mango character, as well as orange blossom. Some stone and salt, too. Full-bodied with a radiant mid-palate and lots of intensity. Salty at the end. 80% sauvignon blanc and 20% semillon.
