Wine Advocate 89: The 2020 Les Pagodes de Cos is fleshy and dramatic, bursting with aromas of crème de cassis, lilac, spices and creamy new oak. Medium to full-bodied, rich and textural, it's an unctuous, ripe, modern-styled red that will drink well young.
James Suckling 93-94: This is a racy Pagodes with beautiful fruit and tannins that leave a nice, persistent finish. Medium to full body. Savory finish. Tight and clean.
Vinous 93: The 2020 Les Pagodes de Cos is dark, sumptuous and super-expressive. There is an element of mystery to the 2020, it’s a wine that is not ready to show all of its charms just yet. Ripe dark cherry, plum, new leather, licorice, tobacco, incense and dried herbs all build nicely in a Pagodes that balances fruit richness and energy.
Decanter 92: Maintains both a spiced kick and creamy texture through the palate, giving form and character. Silky texture, with cinnamon and saffron-laden blackberry fruits. This is precise and confident with sweet and tender tannins, the power is almost hidden at this point but it is there. 38% of overall production. 4% Petit Verdot completes the blend.
Wine Enthusiast 92: This second wine is complex and structured. At same time, it has the proper openness and precocity of a second wine. Likely to age smoothly, the wine will be ready from 2026.
Wine Advocate 91-93: The 2023 Les Pagodes de Cos has turned out beautifully, offering up aromas of cassis, orange zest, vine smoke and incense, followed by a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and polished palate with a deep core of fruit, supple tannins and a lively, mouthwatering finish. It's a blend of 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot and the balance Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.
James Suckling 95-96: There’s depth and focus to this white, with sliced-lemon and green-mango character, as well as orange blossom. Some stone and salt, too. Full-bodied with a radiant mid-palate and lots of intensity. Salty at the end. 80% sauvignon blanc and 20% semillon.
Wine Advocate 91-93: The 2025 Les Pagodes de Cos is shaping up beautifully, wafting from the glass with notes of blackberries, cassis and licorice framed by a touch of toasty oak. Medium- to full-bodied, fleshy and supple, with good mid-palate density, sweet tannins and a lively core of fruit, it's a blend of 62% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc.
James Suckling 94-95: A juicy and velvety second wine of Cos, with spices and hazelnuts that highlight the dark fruit in this wine. It’s medium- to full-bodied with juicy fruit and a flavorful finish. Shows structure, but is integrated and polished. 55% cabernet sauvignon, 34% merlot and 11% cabernet franc.
Vinous 92-94: The 2025 Les Pagodes de Cos is fragrant and floral on the nose, with violet and iris petals, and light iodine aromas infusing the black fruit. The palate is medium-bodied, with silky tannins on the entry, very harmonious, with blue fruit and black pepper towards the sensual finish. This will require three or four years in bottle but should mature well over 15 to 18 years.
