Los Vascos Cromas Carmenere Gran Reserva
Los Vascos Cromas Carmenere Gran Reserva
Cromas Carmenère, with Chile’s signature grape variety, has captured the breadth and ruggedness of its environment, with the unique red hues of the Andes Mountains to the ocean beyond. Its dense, dark purple juices can be found like ink marks on the hands of our growers. Its aromatic palette is as wide and generous as nature itself.
The wines in Los Vascos' Cromas range are aged for 12 months in barrels. The shallow granite soils and the good sun exposure of the slopes gave rise to well-balanced vines that today produce precise and elegant wines.
Winemaker notes
Ruby red color, plum and cherry-scented nose with hints of caramel, chocolate, tobacco and black olives. Well-structured mouthfeel, good volume, pleasant tannins; a wine with a forward personality.
2020
James Suckling 91: A medium-to full-bodied carmenere with lots of dark, grilled cumin, black beans, olives and smoked meat. Dry and tannic with a juicy core of fruit, without being sweet. A bit tight now, so drink in 2024.
