Noble and refined, a long way from the caricature of rustic Nuits-St-Georges, this wine expresses all the finesse and complexity of a great terroir of the Côte de Nuits. It is easy to approach when young, with a sort of natural elegance to charm you and a beautiful, lace-like finale.
A very ripe vintage, but with reserves of freshness, which evolved exactly as it should: now more tightly wound, the wines offer the fullness and pleasure of great sunny Burgundies, with an integration and finish that complement them admirably. Great classics! The big appellations can still wait.
Vinous 89-91: The 2009 Nuits St. Georges Les Perrières is an elegant, vibrant wine with expressive mineral notes that are woven throughout with an expressive core of fruit. This shows terrific energy and verve.
