Deep crimson. Intense dark chocolate, polished leather and tobacco aromas with leafy mocha demi-glace notes. Inky-deep with lovely complex dark chocolate, mocha and leafy tobacco flavours, black cherry/cassis notes, fine chalky-grainy textures and underlying savoury nutty oak complexity. Finishes firm. Lovely weight complexity and richness. At the peak of its powers.
Falstaff 96: Deep garnet with ochre reflections and delicate rim brightening. Hints of candied orange zest, black berry fruit, a touch of dried fruit, a very multifaceted bouquet, underpinned with a fine blueberry fruit, opens well with air and temperature. Juicy, endowed with convincing extract sweetness, very elegant, fine tannins, finesse structure, great length, at perfect enjoyment level of its evolution.
