Wine Advocate 91: A blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc from the team at Gaffelière, the 2020 Puy-Blanquet exhibits aromas of sweet red berries, bay leaf, licorice and petals, followed by a medium to full-bodied, lively palate that's fine-boned, integrated and mineral in profile.

James Suckling 92: This shows aromas of ripe black cherries, mulberries, dark chocolate, licorice and crushed walnut. Medium- to full-bodied, dense and velvety with creamy tannins and silky texture. Polished finish. 80% merlot and 20% cabernet franc. Best After 2025.

Wine Enthusiast 93: This is the first vintage since the vineyard returned to the Malet Roquefort family after 60 years. It is full of black fruits and ripe juicy tannins, with a freshness allied to the wine's natural structure. It is a wine to age. Drink from 2027.
