Bottle Size: 750ml

A stunning wine with remarkably pure aromas, this is a fresh Châteauneuf-du-Pape with peach and citrus notes. Produced from 3 exceptional terroirs (“La Crau”, “Bois Sénéchal” and “Nalys”) the blend is mainly Grenache complemented with Clairette and Bourboulenc and a touch of Roussanne, Picpoul and Picardan. A vibrant wine with remarkably pure aromatics, this is a fresh Châteauneuf-du-Pape with peach and citrus notes. The white wines of Saintes Pierres de Nalys are vinified in temperature-regulated vats and then partially aged in oak. Subtle oaky notes bring density and richness to this wine marked by freshness, finesse and terroir.

Winemaker notes

Pale youthful gold, brilliant and limpid. On the nose, elegant mineral nose with notes of citrus and peach. A beautiful richness, with freshness and minerality. Overall, a complete wine, elegant and balanced.

2019

Wine Advocate 91+: Drawn mainly from the lieux-dits of Bois Sénéchal and Nalys, the 2019 Chateauneuf du Pape Saintes Pierres Blanc is a crisp, focused, almost Burgundian-styled white, with a healthy dose of Clairette in the blend. It's medium-bodied, linear and long, with notes of white pepper and lime zest on the nose.

James Suckling 91: Aromas of lilies, green apples and elderberries. Medium-bodied. Rather crisp. Fresh and bright with some nice driving acidity. Oyster shell and lemon peel. Restrained. 36% clairette, 29% bourbolenc, 25% grenache blanc, 7% roussanne, 3% picardan.

2020

Wine Advocate 89: Subtle oak shadings appear on the nose of the 2020 Chateauneuf du Pape Saintes Pierres Blanc, a crisp, medium-bodied effort marked by pineapple and lime flavors. Linear, bright and refreshing, it seems destined to be consumed young. Tasted twice (once blind), with consistent notes.

Decanter 93: Medium-bodied, light and fresh, this has a little more concentration than some 2020s, showing sappiness to the fruit, and it has good length. There's a touch of pear and apricot, plus a little fresh pastry. Mostly aged in stainless steel, with some old-oak demi-muid and old barriques.
