Hyde de Villaine (HdV), was born from a remarkable partnership between two renowned winegrowing families, the Hydes of Napa Valley and the de Villaines of Burgundy, united by marriage and a shared passion for crafting wines of character and place. The venture was founded by Aubert de Villaine, former Co-Director of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, and his wife Pamela, a cousin of Napa pioneer Larry Hyde. Bringing together generations of French and Californian winemaking heritage, HdV was created with a vision to produce single vineyard wines that express the distinct personality of Napa’s cool climate sites.  
Hyde Vineyards has long been celebrated for its exceptional grapes and expressive single vineyard wines, known for balance, elegance, and a true sense of terroir. Building on this legacy, HdV expanded its vineyard portfolio in 2018 to include select sites across Napa Valley, each chosen for its cooler microclimate and alignment with our philosophy of harmony and authenticity.
