Produced from the top 5 terroirs of this famed appellation, La Doriane is an extremely intense wine with a complex range of aromas. On the palate, it is round and fleshy with a lovely freshness which brings harmony.

Eye: Brilliant clear pale golden yellow.
Nose: White flowers, apricot, white peaches. Intensely powerful and elegant aromas.
Palate: Freshness, round, rich and full-bodied. Fully expressive of the terroir. Great finesse and freshness.
Overall: A pleasant light acidity is well balanced with round fleshy fruitiness.

Wine Advocate 97: The 2023 Condrieu la Doriane is one of the high points of the range, unfurling in the glass with notes of citrus zest, toasted nuts, smoke, almonds and ripe orchard fruits. Full-bodied, satiny and multidimensional, it’s concentrated and layered, with a dense and complex core of fruit, concluding with a resonant, perfumed and endless finish. It delivers even more controlled power than the 2022, supported by a vibrant acid line that extends the finale. Give it at least 20 years in the cellar.

James Suckling 93: How can you resist the fresh honeycomb, honeysuckle and toasted brioche aromas and controlled extravagance of this high-end Condrieu? Rich stone fruit aromas on the expansive, medium- to full-bodied palate, where the freshness of the vintage deftly lifts the long, generous finish. Drink or hold.

Vinous 94: Matured for 9 months in 100% new French oak, the 2023 Condrieu La Doriane takes off with toasty subtleties, mingling pristine white peach, apricot and jasmine with a touch of honeysuckle. Packing elevated flavor concentration on the dense palate, the 2023 is an outgoing, articulate La Doriane. Round and complex, it walks off the stage with a touch of lemon flesh and wet stone on the long, nuanced finish.

Decanter 95: Rich and mineral, loads of puppy fat but good freshness. The sweetness from the oak melds well to the dry fruits. A very good, fresh and vibrant vintage of La Doriane, the generous oak spice is inlaid throughout. Long and precise. From lieux-dits Côte Chatillon, Chéry, Vernon, Colombier and Volan. All aged in new oak barriques.
