Winemaker notes
An exuberantly fresh nose reflects notes of straw, petrol, citrus and apple. There is a lovely sense of underlying tension to the overtly stony middle weight flavors that terminate in a clean and dry finale that is shaped by bright lemon-tinged acidity. This refreshing effort should drink well almost immediately.

Burghound 88: Softly exotic aromas include those of melon, citrus confit and poached apple. There is a lovely sense of underlying tension to the lightly stony middle weight flavors that conclude in a very dry and lingering if mildly rustic finale. To enjoy young for its refreshing fruit and clean finish.

Burghound 88: A fresh and very bright nose is comprised by aromas of Granny Smith apples, just sliced pear and a pretty floral top note. The racy, delicious and solidly voluminous flavors possess a lovely sense of vibrancy that carries over to the clean, dry and refreshing finale. To enjoy young for the fruit though it could also be successfully aged for a few years if desired.
James Suckling 92: With its elegant creaminess, restrained pear fruit and touch of hazelnuts, this is a prototypical white Burgundy, but with discreet oak. Not enormously concentrated but beautifully balanced, the herbal character in the finish adding interesting freshness. Drink or hold.
