The Meursault Les Tessons is made from 50 ares of 60-year-old clay-limestone vines, located next to the Rougeot vineyard. This is a beautifully fresh wine suitable for aging, showing tension and great mineral character, as well as perfectly balanced fruity aromas of great purity. Aged for a long time without racking, this precise, ripe juice offers a fabulous persistence.

2021

Burghound 90-92♥ : This is exceptionally cool and reserved with its grudging nose of green apple, citrus zest, mineral reduction and acacia blossom scents. Here too the mouthfeel of the chiseled middleweight flavors is lilting and highly energetic while displaying excellent minerality on the borderline bone-dry finale that delivers 1er length. This is first-rate for its level and highly recommended.

2022

Vinous 89-91: The 2022 Meursault Les Tessons has a nose that sticks in the memory: orange cordial and methol aromas, just a touch of lanolin. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, slightly waxy in texture with better tension and delineation on the finish than the Limozin. It just requires a little more on the aftertaste.

Decanter 93: The 2022 Tessons from Michel Bouzereau is delightful, with an aromatic lemon peel and nectarine fruit with hints of acacia flowers and a salty mineral underpinning. The texture was lively and bright, with a pitch-perfect balance between freshness and density. The grapes are from a half-hectare to the east above the village; they are slowly pressed and fermented in cask, where they will age for 16 – 18 months. This wine should open with a year or two in the bottle and drink well for a decade.

2023

Burghound 90-93♥: Here the expressive nose is even more floral in character with its airy and fresh array of acacia, carnation and rose petal notes that add a touch of elegance to the ripe white orchard fruit and anise scents. The sleek, intense and equally refined medium weight flavors deliver focused power and outstanding length on the bone-dry and overtly austere finale. This is terrific, particularly for a villages-level wine, but it's also sufficiently compact to require at least a few years of forbearance.

Vinous 91-93: The 2023 Meursault Les Tessons has a more intense and satisfying bouquet amongst the white Village crus, with energetic yellow plum and crushed stone scents and fine delineation. The palate is harmonious, lively and precise, with a keen thread of acidity and an impressively elegant mineral-rich finish. This is worth seeking out-a great Les Tessons for Bouzereau.

Decanter 95: The Les Tessons from Domaine Michel Bouzereau shows a lovely green apple and pear fruit aroma with hints of lemon peel and hawthorn. The texture is substantial, but the admirable tension keeps the wine lively and fresh on the palate. The grapes are from a half-hectare of vines planted in clay and limestone soils, the oldest of which was planted in the 1950s; they are gently pressed before fermentation and ageing in cask (25% new) over two winters.
