Collection: Not All Pink Wines Are Created Equal

Yup you heard us. Not all pink wines are created equal. If you find yourself scratching your head wondering what in the world do we mean ? Let us clear things up for you. They may look the same, they may even smell the same or even have the same pairing. Most of the times, we might even use the names interchangeably - but we are here to tell you : There is a difference between Rose and Blush wines.
Just remember this : Often than not, Rose are made using the saignee method - which means bleeding out a portion of the red wine from the fermentation tank before continuing with the winemaking process. Then there is the more commonly used skin contact method. Rose are never a blend of red and white wines.
Blush Wines: Unlike Rose, blush wines are made either in the exact same method of rose or simply making it a blend of red and white wines. Typically marketed as a more approachable / easy drinking option that is sweeter and less expensive as a carefully made rose.
Thus all rose wines are blushes but not all blushes are roses.
