Collection: Domaine Georges Noëllat

Domaine Georges Noëllat is a small, historic Vosne-Romanée estate renowned for its precise, elegant Pinot Noirs from old vines, now revitalized by young winemaker, Maxime Cheurlin, whose style emphasizes transparency, finesse, and site-specific purity. The Noëllat family traces back to the 17th century as winegrowers in Meuilley, with Félix Noëllat establishing a domaine in Vosne-Romanée in the 19th century; his sons split the estate, forming the basis for several modern domaines including parts of Leroy. Core 5.5–6 ha owned in Vosne-Romanée plus grands crus (e.g., Richebourg, Grands Échézeaux ties via history) and Nuits-St-Georges; supplemented by purchased old-vine fruit.
From 1990–2010, grapes were sold to négociants like Jadot and Drouhin. In 2010, the grandson of Georges Noëllat, Maxime Cheurlin took over, apprenticed with uncle Emmanuel Rouget, expanding to 20 ha (10 owned, 2 rented, 8 purchased grapes) and bottling estate wines.
