Collection: Domaine Marc Roy

Domaine Marc Roy is a tiny domaine of just four hectares that is meticulously cared for as if it was a personal garden. Alexandrine Roy is the 4th generation of the Roy family of growers in Gevrey, and she took over from her father, Marc, in 2003, working almost single handedly on her 3.5 hectares of vineyard in Gevrey-Chambertin and 0.5 hectares in Marsannay. Alexandrine is a true farmer, consistently ploughing the soils of her old- vine vineyards (many of which are more than 100 years old) to allow the roots to dig deep into the shallow limestone. Through minimal intervention and extraction, Alexandrine allows her old vines to express themselves with immense depth of flavor and clarity. Whilst her holdings exclusively comprise "village" sites, the resulting wines taste more like those from a premier or even grand cru vineyard.
